We grew up in Midland,
Michigan where we spent our lives knowing each other, but not
having a relationship until after a blind double date in the
summer of 1957. After a 2 year, long distance courtship, with
Chuck being in the Air Force in Homestead, Florida and Sue completing
schooling in Detroit, we married in Midland on October 30,
1959. Over the next 8 years, God blessed us with 3 great kids,
Lora, Cathy and Brian.
In 1970, we moved to Chamblee,
Georgia with a job promotion for Chuck with Continental Can Co.
He was employed 22 years there, changing vocations in 1985 to
do office administration/management for several Christian
non-profit organizations and Northside Community Church
until 2004 when he retired.
After the children were in high
school, Sue returned in 1980 to work in administrative positions
in manufacturing and in 1994 at Bank of America, retiring
1/3/2006.
We have grown in our faith and
relationship with God and Jesus Christ since 1972 and have had
the blessing of seeing our children, spouses, and grandchildren
follow in our footsteps growing in their own faith.
We praise God for the deep
relationships we have with our family
- Lora and Phil Buonpastore, Cathy and Clay, Remy and
Quinn Miller, and Brian and Katie, Andrew, Melissa, and Wil
Cox.
Being now in the Autumn of our
lives, we have relatively good health and are looking forward to
the many new adventures ahead of us.
